I know this question has been asked many many times before.(correct me if I'm wrong) I have heard so many things as to what the meaning of life maybe. I heard that We make our own meaning of life. Nothing is the meaning of life we us humanity is just here to take up space? I want an actual confirmation. Is this something that will never be answered? If you guys have some answers for me or opinions i'd be glad to read them. Thanks.

  1. Err. People can tell you what they think, whatever gets them through the day, but nobody really knows. Its all just assumption, guesses. Nobody knows. I wish I knew, it would make things a f**k of a lot easier.

    *sigh*

  2. Personally, I think trying to understand why everything is, is the goal of life. To understand yourself, understand others, to understand humanity, to understand the universe and what may be beyond.

  3. Some authors give excellent answers and insights:

Mark Prophet, "The Path of the Higher Self" and "The Masters and Their Retreats,"

    Helen Greaves, "Testimony of Light,"

    S. Levitt, "Freakonomics,"

    Martha Beck, "Expecting Adam,"

    C. S. Lewis, "The Great Divorce."

Read these, and you very likely won't be disappointed, and will receive good insights and wisdom.

  4. Life has many things that have meaning. Giving just one of them as the answer will not be fair to the rest.

  5. A meaning is a idea of message that is being conveyed.  If our existence has any meaning, then there is a God who is trying to convey that meaning.  Nature isn't trying to send messages to us.

To make our own meaning is the same as pretending.  It says to just invent something that will make us feel good and then pretend that it was why we were put on earth.  To make our own meaning is a child's game.

If we will but cling to the truth, then we must either give up on meaning or seek our Creator.  I arrive at that conclusion independent of any "holy book", but I note that the Bible says, "seek and ye shall find".  That makes me think that seeking our Creator and knowing Him is the reason He created us.

  6. The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything is numeric in Douglas Adams' series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In the story, a "simple answer" to The Ultimate Question is requested from the computer Deep Thought, specially built for this purpose. It takes Deep Thought 7½ million years to compute and check the answer, which turns out to be 42. Unfortunately, The Ultimate Question itself is unknown, suggesting on an allegorical level that it is more important to ask the right questions than to seek definite answers.

  7. The meaning of life is to live it. To learn, to love, to hate, to taste, to work, to find happiness, and many many more things.

There's no meaning to life. This concept is subjective.

  8. my theory of the meaning of life is to live

  9. Carpe Diem....

  10. Learning how to survive is the meaning of life.

  11. The true meaning to life is truly 42.  Actually the mire asking of this question assumes a supernatural element, God of something like. And that is obvious nonsense.

  12. live your purpose through christ.
