  1. Geoff is right.  I've seen UFOs four times and later figured out what I saw.

  2. This probably isn't the answer you want, but it IS the truth.

UFOs (unidentified flying objects) are only unidentified because the observer lacks the astronomical or meteorological knowledge to identify them. That's why you never hear about UFOs observed by astronomers or meteorologists; they're only reported by people who are unfamiliar with what can be seen in the sky. I've been an amateur astronomer for over fifty years, and have never seen anything in the sky that I haven't been able to identify.

  3. Read some of the better books, by Randle, Schmidt and Carey, Good etc. If you study the actual reports, you'll see that the most skeptical views on this subject come from those least informed on it. There have been many reports from credible witnesses for which there can be no prosaic explanation.

  4. You can't get authentic info because they don't exist. Stop wasting energy on thinking they do

  5. There have been thousands of UFO reports. Most have been satisfactorily explained by known civil or military aircraft, the planet Venus, unusual weather conditions and so forth.

Of the remainder, I'm certain that many can be put down to mistakes, ignorance, illusion, hallucination and fraud. Fraud seems to be one of the most common.

If you look at the UFO sites around the net, and the stuff that also appeared in magazines with UFO articles in pre-internet days, what else do you find?  Atlantis, Lemuria, astrology, conspiracy theories, the blasted Bermuda triangle, "we didn't go to the Moon": yadda t-yadda blah blah drivel snork drool.  All of it fraught with unsupported assertions and frequently, just plain lies.

When aliens finally reveal themselves, there will be nothing else in the media for the first few days, then Ms. Spears will emerge over-refreshed from a party.

She will fall over, revealing some part of the Spears anatomy inadvertently in a wardrobe malfunction.  The incident will be beamed around the world and the poor old aliens will be forgotten in the furore over the glimpse of something that half the human race, maybe even all the human race has anyway.

Eventually the aliens will go away, scratching whatever passes for their heads and wondering W T H?
