While he is in basic, can i send him a letter everyday. Will he have to time to write a few back. Also, Is it true that the Squad Leaders read the letters before my man will get it? So writing something really personal wouldn't be the greatest idea? If I send pictures will he get them or depending on their content will they be discarded? I know he wont have a whole lot of time to communicate, but when he is gone I will have plenty.

  1. Yes, deff. write to him. I wrote to my husband atleast twice a week. I usually got one about once every two weeks. they do have personal time, but it is limited and they don't always like to write or have time to if they have a chance to call. They do not look at the mail, so you can write what you want, but like someone else said, if something falls out of the locker than you might not want them reading something. hope i was some help.

  2. While he is in basic, can i send him a letter everyday?

    - YES

Will he have to time to write a few back?

    - YES

Also, Is it true that the Squad Leaders read the letters before my man will get it?

    - I would say NO, as I never received a piece of mail with obvious tampering.

If I send pictures will he get them or depending on their content will they be discarded?

    - Per the previous question, he should get them.  Beware that once he has opened the letter, the TI (training instructor - Air Force term for Drill Sergeant) may well inspect the contents.

  3. You can write him everyday, but he wont be able to write you every day.  We didn't have squad leaders when I went to basic, the TI's handed out the mail.  They did not read the letters, but all personal items were kept in our foot locker, and pictures had to be shown to the TI.  No nude or like pictures.  I would not write about s*x in your letters like positions and what you'd like to do to him.  Sometimes TI's dump out your foot locker and you don't want someone accidentally

picking up a letter like that.

  4. No one reads the letters. You can write every day, my suggestion is expect less than one a week, be happy with one a week.
