What is the turnover rates for companies that are not successful in advertising?

For example: How long does the average advertising company take to start up and default? As a market what is the percentage of companies that " make it" compared to companies that don't "make it" in advertising? Especially for companies that target small businesses a start.

I've never seen any statistics, but I can tell you from my own history that advertising agencies come and go all the time. Sometimes, all it takes is losing one major piece of business or a change in marketing directors.
