What is the typical amount of time a Mexican person is given for a US travel visa?

it was 6 months.if you declared i will be there for shopping  only 3 days they would stamp it for 6 months,now it has changed,you better have cash a credit card an address.but why go there? the worl is bigger than that country!!

A typical B1/B2 length of stay authorized by  the CBP officer at entry is 6 months.  It can be shorter, but it is rarely longer.

Just a tourist visa? They are for 6 months, and you can reapply when you go back.
