  1. STUDY STUDY STUDY Below, a very thorough article.

  2. I'm not too sure about the hours... But I think it's around 8.

You also have to have two different types of shoes. One for walking outside and one to wear in the classroom. It's so you don't get the classroom floors dirty. If you don't do your homework or get in trouble, you get hit with a ruler but I'm not so sure if they do that anymore. If they do, it should be totally banned. That stuff hurts. >.<

  3. i think they can stay night for school... i dunno...

  4. in school it starts @ like 9:00a.m. and ends @ like 2:00 p.m.

after school  ppl would go n walk around town or something like that with friends or

you would go to a little school or something like that for about maybe 1-2 hours and then hang out or go home

  5. I have a Korean pen-pal who is currently in 9th grade in high school. Once school finishes, she goes to several academies for English, Math, and other subjects that she needs help with. She also goes to these places called "hagwon" where they prepare students for tests like the SAT and TOEFL. She said she spends about 12 hours total everyday with school and school-related activies. This situation is similar to many other Koreans. Some stay in school from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Some go home earlier.

  6. This site shows a diagrammed schedule of a typical day of korean high school students.

  7. one of my friends who is foriegn exchange student from korea said its much much much harder than US schools he says he go to school for like 10 hours then when he leaves school he goes to a place called Hagwon and there they study late into the night some times till 1am then come home and do it all over again... there are even some schools you have a dorm room and sleep at!

  8. it depends what grade you are in and what school you go to. if you are a고삼 (high school senior) you go to school in the morning, then get out of school at like 2-3, then you stay for "optional" supplementary classes until around 6 pm.. then you go to 학원 (supplementary classes that you pay for) until 8-10 (depending how crazy you are) then you go home. dummies sleep and nerds study more. then you wake up and start ALL over. yay =) don't believe dramas. they look like they play all day long and do no work.
