last i checked 1 dollar turned into 40 - 45 rupee.

(when i went in 95, it was 33 rupes to the dollar. by my next trip in 2004 it was up to 40.)

Just type in on google US exchange rates, and you can find the daily exchange rate for most if not all countries.

I was there in 2004, and the exchange rate was 47 rupees to the dollar. I don't know what it is now, do like the other guy said and search for exchange rates. I'd use yahoo though, just coz I don't like google
