I listen to POTUS 08 (ch 130) on XM Radio and I have heard someone on there talking about an unbiased website that researches political statements and rates if they are true or not. I have tried searching for it, but I thought this might be easier. Does anyone know?

  1. Everyone has a bias in some regards. But as long as it's in the editorial and not distorting the facts, that's okay.Which will never happen in mainstream media.http://www.newswithviews.com/

  2. Unbiased and political statements don't seem to go together.  I don't think there is such a site.

  3. Political and unbiased, taken as a phrase constitutes an oxymoron, almost by definition. IMHO

I spend entirely too much time researching political issues. As a result I visit about a half dozen news sites every morning. Then sift through the information – and yes lack of information.

To me a very telling indicator of a news sources objectivity is the stories they do NOT report or give token coverage.

  4. Politics is about opinions, and opinions are ALWAYS biased.  Anybody who tells you they have an unbiased opinion is lying to themself or to you.

What I suggest is that you choose to listen to people from both parties talking about the issues you are interested in, then decide who you agree with more.

Don't let talk show hosts or radio hosts, or political commentators from either side make up your mind for you.  Vote for what YOU believe!

  5. unbiased doesn't exist, you just have to learn to filter the nonsense, and use multiple sources
