  1. 1/time units

    sec^-1, min^-1, hr^-1, etc.


  2. Personally, I find the easiest way to find out the unit of the rate constant is by following this:

    M^(1 - overall order) s^(-1)

    So, if the overall order is 1, then the unit is s^(-1)

    If the overall order is 2, then the unit is Ms^(-1)
