  1. Hi friend! Chemistry.. interesting one! The usage of ammonium hydroxide, well instead of listing it here, I think I can give you the direct link to it, with a great deal of information ( more than that given by the answer above me!

It gives direct and to the point information.

  2. Ammonium hydroxide(NH3[aq]), also known as ammonia water, aqua ammonia, or aqueous ammonia, is a solution of ammonia in water. Technically, the use of the term "ammonium hydroxide" is incorrect because such a chemical compound cannot be isolated. However, this term does give a fair description of how an ammonia solution behaves, and is commonly used even by scientists and engineers.

    USES:

1.An intermediate in the production of ammonia salts, amines and amides, household cleaners and metal polishes

    2.Source of nitrogen for fermentation

3.In the production of dyes, glass and plastics

    4.Extraction of metals

    5.Textiles

    6.A neutralizer in oil refining

    7.Pulp and paper industry

    8.Pollution control

    9.Waste treatment

    10.Catalyst for UF resin production

    11.For pH adjustment

      hope it helps
