i need help. what does the body use carbohydrates for? examples of food that contains them? daily intake required? please help

  1. the body needs carbohydrates for energy, otherwise we wouldn't be able to do much physical activity. however, there are bad carbohydrates.

      The best sources of carbohydrates—whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans—promote good health by delivering vitamins, minerals, fiber, and a host of important phytonutrients. Easily digested carbohydrates from white bread, white rice, pastries, sugared sodas, and other highly processed foods may contribute to weight gain, interfere with weight loss, and promote diabetes and heart disease.

      The RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) is still unknown, however around 100g per day is thought to be the minimal amount needed to maintain adequate blood sugar levels. If there is excess in carbohydrates that the body does not use for energy, then it is converted to fat and stored in the body (as fat).

  2. Carbohydratetes are used for storing fat, heat and energy. usually breads rice and cereals have them. its what you should be having most in your diet just look up the food pyramid in a serch engine.
