do i need to be dextrose when for example i have an wound and many blood was lost?

Hmmm...  D5W which is an intravenous fluid will not restore the oxygen-carrying capacity of blood but will restore its volume so that proper pressure can be maintained.  Other IVs will also work for the same purpose  D5W means dextrose 5% in water.  With that, you should probably not be hungry.  

    Depending on the amount of blood loss, transfusion might be more important, or for those whose religion prevent transfusions, a fluorocarbon fluid which can carry oxygen (sometimes called breathing fluid because it can be used in pressure suits for really deep dives).


  2. Dextrose is just a sugar. If you can eat, you can take in sugars without the bother.

  3. Dextrose means glucose. It means the solution predominantly rotates the polarised light to the right side. If there is a  heavy blood loss the blood should be transfused. Glucose has many uses.For example  When a diabetic patient haue taken insulin without taking breakfast, he will develop hypoglycemia. In this situation glucose is very useful.
