  1. purse snatching, pickpockets, especially in tourist areas, everyone wants your wallet, your passport, your phone, your ipod, your camera, your$$$

  2. Has it every occured to YOU to Google these questions?  You'll get the same responses as anyone else.  Googling 'crime in Spain' brings up heaps of information.

These questions seem to be for a school project, so why don't you try to do some of the work yourself, instead relying on others to do it.  How lazy can you get!!

  3. I would expect it to be theft, particularly pick pocketing in the major cities. But there is a certain level of pick pocketing in all major cities. In the last few years i have been to Paris, Rome, Salzburg, Amsterdam and Barcelona, and i wouldn't consider Barcelona to be the worst of them when it comes to this sort of petty crime.

  4. There is much less than in the UK, YES, there is crime...............but its generally family feuds that hit the press the most!! lately hubby kills wife  -  wife kills hubby!

But in general you are safe to walk about even at night, you don't have to keep looking over your shoulder, BUT there is the obvious NO GO areas in all bit cities, just like any place else in this world...........as for crimes against the elderly/children, the guilty are treated NOT with kids gloves here.

I live on the Costa del Sol ( costa del crime) but the criminals who are here are all immigrants, Brits. Romanians, the Russian Mafia, Bulgarians, all imports, if they weren't here the crime levels would be even less!
