What is the vaccuum in regards to space?

space has low denisty and low pressure.  having low numbers here means there is no friction.  on earth, we have both and we have friction which slows down movement of things such as people and planes and the like.  a vacuum is essentially, nothing.  very hard for someone one earth to conceptualize.  think of the astronauts or the men who landed on the moon.  id say a vacuum is rather the embodiment of being free.
