Question:

What is the value of my limited edition print of an original watercolour by HRH Prince Charles

This is a beautifully framed limited edition print of an original watercolour by HRH The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles. It comes with an original letter of authenticity from St James's Palace, London. This print is number 67 of 500 and is signed in pencil "C '92". The subject is Annapurna, Nepal 1992. The size, including frame is 45cm by 35cm.

I am looking to sell this, possibly on eBay, on behalf of a friend and need to know an opening price. I have searched the internet for a guideline and it has become clear that it is rare for any of Prince Charles' artwork to come into the public domain.

Any advice would be very gratefully received :-)

  1. I would say since he is still alive around $1000.  If you keep it and he dies multiply that by 5.

  2. Call Christy's or Southerby's, they might be interested, if I where going to put something like that on e-bay I would start at 75 quid and see what the market does.
