As of one minute ago it was 1 Euro is approximately $1.46940.

It is around one and a half dollars for a single Euro, that's about the same as when I was last there in 2004.

Value or exchange rate?  The exchange rate is about 1,47 today, but the value is about the same, meaning that whatever costs a $US in the USA will cost a € in Europe, meaning that Europe is about 30% more expensive than the US.
