If a ball is thrown vertically upward from the roof of 48 foot building with a velocity of 16 ft/sec, then what is the maximum height the ball reaches?

AND what is the velocity of the ball when it hits the ground?

  1. Hmax = 48 + 16²/(2*g) = 52 ft

    Vf = √(Vi² + 2gh) = √(16²+2*32*48) = 57.69 ft/s²
