An object slides down a frictionless inclined plane. At the bottom, it has a speed of 9.80 m/s. What is the vertical height of the plane?

  1. Enery at bottom (KE) = Energy at top (PE)

    1/2 mv^2 = 1/2 m * 9.8^2 = m*g*h

    1/2 9.8 ^2 = m * 9.8*h so...

    h=4.9 meters
