What is the view like from the front row at Manchester opera house

I want to book tickets for a film, so is the front row to close?

  1. The Opera House doesn't show films it's a theatre.  However you might end of straining your neck looking up the at the stage, better a few rows back


  2. Personally, I would go for maybe the third or fourth row. It can be a strain to your neck to have to look up and I think you get a better view with rows like the third or fourth.

  3. It's not a cinema, but it does occacsionally show films or have screens, like for Sing-a-long-a ABBA.

    There is a small orchestra pit between the stage and seats, so front row is probably too close if I was sitting there watching a film for any length of time. But if it's something like ABBA with lots going on, audience participation, etc then it wouldn't be so bad.

    Plus, the screen is not going to be right at the edge of the stage, it's going to be further back.
