I have an old bottle of Red Chassagne Montrachet, so old that the Vintage lable has come off. The insignia on the label is a red shield with an archer on one knee yeilding a bow, and belowe the insignia as writen: Philippe de Bois d'Arnault (or Arnauld...not quite sure). Does anyone have ANY idea what it is??? I can't find the label in any picture, wine store, or ANYWHERE!!! HELP!!

  1. Wow! What a challenge!

What I'd do - hopefully you like in or near a big city where they have High Class Wine Stores where they will probably have NO IDEA!

However :: they will be so intrigued that they'll know an old fella who they think WILL know!

    That's what I'd do.

Good luck with your little project!

  2. You have to take it to where it was bottled to know now. There is no other way. No big deal though. Just guess and drink it anyway. Or make something up because everyone will believe you. Say it's really rare and expensive.

  3. Not sure, but don't lose that label. If it proves to be extremely rare the label makes all the difference.
