  1. On February 9, 1895, William G. Morgan invented volleyball at a YMCA in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Since it was invented there, I would say Holyoke is the volleyball capital of the world.

  2. Florida or cali.

  3. It is in Canada.

  4. In the USA California is the volleyball capital, but Nebraska University sure is becoming a power house for the women.

Federation Internationale de Voleyball is located in Lausane, Switzerland yet the Swiss aren't exactly all that interested in volleyball.

I am going with Brazil as the volleyball capitol of the world. Men's World Champions Women finished 2nd World Champions and they usually have a beach volleyball players ranked in the top 3 every year. Plus a pro league for the indoor game as well enthusiastic volleyball fans.

  5. Although the sport has grown in popularity all over the world, there is still more volleyball at a competive level in the USA than anywhere else.

  6. The volleyball hall of fame is in Holyoke, Massachusetts. I've been there and I don't think they care too much about v'ball.

I can't give you a specific city but Southern California is big on volleyball. Outside of the U.S. is Italy and Brazil. They are usually good in the Olympics.
