What is the voltage?

Six light bulbs are connected in a series with a 9 V battery. What is the voltage along each bulb?

Assuming all bulbs are identical voltage is shared equally between all the bulbs.

Therefore 6 bulbs receive 9 volts

                  1 bulb receive 9/6volts=3/2volts

That would depend upon the resistance of each bulb.  In general, all share the same current.  The voltage drop would be about equal to (current * resistance of a bulb).  If all are equal, then I = E/R(total)  = Ve/r1 = Ve/r2...=Ve/r9
