Vaccumming cloggs the filter and there is soo much that it is taking forever with a leaf bag. This is an accumulation of 2 years of rotten leaves or so. I was told if I drain the pool that there is a risk of the liner shrinking. Are there any chemicals or anything that would take care of this. Please help!

  1. You will more than likely have to drain the pool at least part way and clean  the leaves out, you will probably have to get into the water  to do this, once all of the leaves are out fill the pool and treat with chemicals as usual, have the water tested to know what you need to clear the water and be prepared to do several treatments and run the pump to keep the water recirculating until it clears up..be sure to cover your pool for the winter to avoid having this problem again.  Good Luck....

  2. Use the hose you use for cleaning the pool to siphon off the leaves and decay from the bottom of the pool, leaving the other end open to drain out in the yard of street.  That is if you are afraid it will sink, other wise I too recommend draining the whole thing and starting over.

  3. Drain the pool, clean it quickly. Keep the area shaded. Once finshed cleaning refill the pool with clean water.
