What is the weather in Cusco and Machu Picchu in July-Sept. ?Is it winter and cold?

Early July is probably the coldest time of year but it is sunny.  Daytime temperatures in Cusco should be in the high 50s F,  might get to freezing at night.  Machu Picchu itself is a lot lower and warmer--high 60s maybe a little weather.

Very, very dry and kind of brown outside.  Our winter (their summer) is a much better time to go, but Machu Picchu is an amazing site no matter when -- and still green, although everything in the Sacred Valley (around Cusco) is brown!
