What is the weather like in December in the Western Caribbean?

We are going on a cruise to the Western Caribbean in late December of 2008. What is the weather like there? Is it warm enough to go swimming and stuff?

This is a great time to cruise the western Caribbean. The weather should be nice and warm and perfect for any watersports or beachgoing. If I were able to get away, that would be the time I would go. I have gone to the western Caribbean in late November and the weather was perfect.

It's beautiful that time of the year and is plenty warm once you get to the Caribbean. If you are starting out in Florida, you will have perhaps 1&1/2 days of nice, but not real warm weather, then it becomes beautiful. Great time to cruise the caribbean

It is swimming and tanning weather any time you visit the Caribbean.  My suggestion, since you will cross the Gulf of Mexico in our winter months, is to take some Bonine Tablets or motion sickless tablets or doctor prescribed thing behind the ear.  The Gulf is rough going.
