I am thinking of going on holiday to Thailand around late August and early September 2009. But i have heard that around these months it is monsoon season. I was hoping to have a hot holiday with no rain! As it always rains in Britain! I was wondering, if i could get first hand knowledge of the weather there e.g. someone who lives in Thailand or someone who has been holiday there around August or September. So could someone tell me if these dates are a bad time for weather in Thailand? Thank You!

  1. From July to October is the monsoonal season when most of Thailand's annual rainfall is accumulated. The humidity averages just under 90%, with temperatures averaging around 29º C in Bangkok.

Risky time to go if you want no rain.My son was there for a month, returning two weeks ago.The weather was hot humid and the odd downpour but still very pleasant.

  2. Yep rainy season but it is fine. Not all day raining.

  3. You should expect some rain, but not like in the U.K. You will find you get a thunderstorm which lasts approx 30 mins and then clear blue sky. I would say you will get 5-6 hours of sunshine a day. It will still be hot 30-35c, but the humidity can be intense. Thailand is more of a winter destination.
