  1. In December in Austraila it is summer  so the weather will be hot

  2. This will give you a rough idea, http://www.sydney.com.au/weather.htm that is for Sydney weather, Queensland will be a few degrees warmer, and Melbourne is either a few hotter or a few degrees colder it varies down there. Adelaide and Perth tend to get hotter weather then the east coast and have a frequency for heat waves. Inland Aus and NT will be bloody hot with winter being in the 30Cs, summers get up to the 40s and include tropical weather including rains.

  3. Im from Melbourne Australia, December 1st is the beginning of summer, the nights can still get a little cool and might require a flimsy long sleeve top or jeans, but for the most part its starting to warm up, each state has its own weather and changes drastically from one place to another, we in Aus..especially Melbourne have a saying "if you dont like the weather wait a minute" hehe, it can be all over the place especially as seasons are beginning to change, best do what we Aussies do and be prepared, always carry a long sleeve top for the cool nights, but dress like the sun is going to tan your skin.

  4. In the north part of Australia it's the rainy season: hot, humid and tropical.

In the south it is hot and dry in December. In Tasmania it's mild.

  5. Depends on where you go.

North is always hot and wet.

South can be hot and humid, also cold with blustery winds.

Central Australia has hot days and cold nights.

Australia is a very large continent, with many different weather patterns.

Check them out carefully, preferably with someone from your part of the world who knows Australia, because they can give you a valid comparison.

  6. Australia is a big country so depending where you are it can range from warm balmy days to roasting hot

  7. As the other answers have said, Australia is a BIG country, and has multiple climate zones. In the southern half of the country December is generally warm to hot and dry. In northern parts, December is the rainy season.

And remember that only tells us what it is *usually* like. There have been places in Australia where it has snowed in December. Its uncommon, but it has happened.
