During the day it's like 70s if not 80s with the sun since there are never clouds over Vegas.

Las Vegas is a desert, so it can be warm in the day and cool (sometimes even cold) at night.  Usually Vegas is wonderful in October/November and in April/May of each year.  Even though it is a desert there can be sudden storms, but they are rare.  My favorite time to go is April but if you carry a sweater and keep it in your room you should be fine.  I think you will find it an absolutely wonderful climate at that time.  In fact, I think October is a wonderful time to plan some of the off-strip tours like the Canyon or horseback riding because the desert is so mild at that time.  Below is a link to help with the Las Vegas Temps.

Las Vegas weather in October is NICE!!

Highs in the low 80's ..  lows in the mid 50's.

Its perfect!

Most day in the 80s and nights nice and cool.  You will be need a lighty sweater or jacket if you are going to be outside at all at night. But otherwise in will be gorgeous summery weather.

Perfect which is why it is the busy season. While the rest of the country is chilling down, the weather in Vegas is perfect for swimming and walking around. Shorts and tshirts are the clothes for the day. Even when the sun goes down the temps hold warm until around 4 or 5 in the morning and rise quickly once the sun comes up.
