hey guys so im planning on goin to bible college in philly and i live near SD (california). I've always loved the colder weather, and obviously out here in cali we dont get that much snow so i'd love snow. And really just want the full college expierence. I've also always wanted to see what the eastcoast is like. So if you can fill me in what the weather is like does it snow? rain or whatever will help. Or any other helpful tips like if philly is a nice city, entertainment...im a huge sports fan =)

  1. It's pretty mild in spring and early fall.  During the winter, it snows and can get pretty cold so make sure you get some winter clothes.

  2. Hot humid summers.  Plenty of beautiful scenery in the country, especially in the fall.   Make sure you see Pennsylvania Dutch country.  That's near Lancaster.

If you like history, Philly's the place to be.  Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, and lots of other stuff.  Not too far from the Jersey shore.

Pick your sport, they've got 'em all.  And Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches.  Yummy!

  3. It's horribly hot and humid right now. It's beautiful in the autumn and spring. Winters can be a tad cold, and we do occasionally see snow. We haven't had a major snow storm in years though. The sports are great and the fans are pretty loyal, lol. As far as entertainment goes, there is quite a bit to do, movies, concerts, clubs.....you name it, we probably have it =)

  4. philly is warm in the summer. temps in the 90s and high 80s in the summer. in the fall temps are in the 70s. light coat weather. some days in october do make the 80s. in early october temps may make it to the high 80s, sometimes 90s.

winters arent too cold. frost comes in mid or late november. normally it doesnt snow till after christmas, sometimes their are small snow showers in mid december with 1 or 2 inches of snow. early december is a rain snow mix or all rain. temps are in the high 40s and low 50s duing the day and at night in the low 30s. january the first week or so is warm. the last 2 or 3 years have seen 60s in the first week or two of january. after that temps will go into the 40s. some snow will appear too. in febuary snow comes more often. one storm can bring about 5 inches of snow. the largest storms usually come in late january or early to mid febuary with the largest stoms dumping as much as half a foot of snow. some of the blizzads like in 2003 can bring 10 inches of snow.

spring is warm. march is in the 50s. april in the 60s and 70s. may is pool weather with temps in the 70s and low 80s. june brings mid 80s and occasional 90s.
