  1. Mid Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Vegas is cool.  The highs this time of year are in the 50s' and 60s', the nights are in the 40s', sometimes 30s',  occasional rain.

March, April, October through Mid November 70's and 80's

May through September-HOT!!!!!  May will start in the 90's and will be be consistently over 100 by June and it will stay that way at least through Mid September.   Monsoon rains usually come in July or August.

Please note Vegas is known for flash flooding!!

  3. Winter is late October - March. This is when it's actually considered cold, and when you can comfortably wear a sweater. The coldest time during a vegas winter is in December. This is when you might need a coat. The coldest it gets here is around 50 degrees, so you only need a light coat. Last time it snowed was 2005 I believe. It was the top story on the news and everyone was standing outside their house taking pictures. It only lasted a few hours before it all melted. So the chance of snow is VERY unlikely.

Spring is April-May. This is when the weather is, not scorching hot. Almost what you would call 'nice'.

Summer is June-September. This is when it is really really really hot. I don't know if you've ever been in 115 degree weather, but its freaking hot. Just walking from the parking lot to the store feels like your inside an oven. During the worst heat (late July..early August) it feels like your skin is burning and you can't breathe, from just being outside for a few minutes. This is probably why people leave Vegas a lot. There is the occasional rain in early August, but it only lasts about a week and it isn't that much.

Fall would be, October-early November. This is like spring. When it isn't too hot, it isn't to cold.

To sum it up there are three kinds of weather here..hot as h**l, really cold, and the few weeks that are 'nice'.

  4. i went in december and it was colder than i expected.

it was in the 40s at night and wasn't much warmer than in the low 50s during the day - i wore a peacoat around.

  5. Well as far as Rain--- it almost never does. I have been to Vegas 20 times have not seen a drop of rain. Ussualy the best chance for rainy occurs during the cooler months. Like Jan-March. Summers sometimes dont seen any rain at all.

January most days are in the 50s or 60s, but at night its verry cold.

April/May its normally 80s but can get up much higher during a heat wave.

Summer is ussualy 100+. But as they say its a dry heat. So stay near a pool and hydrated and it wont be as bad as you think.

November is when I finally put on jeans and pack away the shorts, boo hoo.temps dip into the 80's and 70's during the day and 60's and high 50's at night.

December is a toss up , the past few years it has gotten cold and yes even snow usually after Christmas.. amazing.

Where else can you live with such a Variety of weather..

  9. You are often going to be very comfortable in Vegas from March April and into May then it gets HOT.  Again it starts getting comfortable in Mid September through October or November.  Evenings you should have a light jacket or sweater in your room or close by if there is a chill.  It is a desert so about 4 inches of water a year is all the rain they get.
