What is the weather like in st. barts at the end of august?

I am planning a last minute trip with fiancee to st. barts at the end of august and we were wondering--- has anyone been there at that time of the year? what is the weather like at the end of august? we do know that st. barts have not been hit by a hurricane in 5 years, but we are still a bit concerned since it will not be a cheap trip. any advice?

It will be hot and humid. You will get some rain but hopefully it will be at night.

You are going during hurricane season, protect yourself and buy travel insurance in the event you do get a tropical storm that prevents you from traveling. Most airlines will give you an opportunity to reschedule if they can't fly to that area. Your hotel is another story. Find out what they cover in the event of a bad storm. It's not expensive to buy insurance. Just make sure it covers hurricanes.

I have traveled the Caribbean in August, September and October. You take your chances but have a back up plan. Once we had to reschedule to a different destination because of hurricane damage.. No problem we had insurance.

Have a great time, if you have a chance spent a day in St Martin/St Maarten or Anguilla. Just a ferry boat ride away.
