What is the weather like in the winter in ohio?...how about pennsylvania?

in comparison to newyork...i'm trying to get an idea as i college search.

Ohio, The winters start between nov. and can go untill the last of march 1st of april. They are cold and dry mostly we only get a ft or so of snow and then its just very cold. Then the spring comes in April and may and the temps are between 70s and 80s. summers are hot and dry between 90s, and 100s and last till late sept. but if we get a indian summer its like having spring in oct. and nov. but the mornings are cold and then it heats up in the day and goes back down at night. If your up by the lakes it can get bad because of the lake effects in Ohio and Pa. during the winters but the most of the two are the same in the seasons..
