What is the weather/temp in Turkey in early October.

Question

I am going to icmeler 27th Sept for 2 weeks. We have been to cyprus before and that was about 27-30 degrees so we though Turkey would be the same, all website seem to give different from 16 - 25 degrees anyone who has been around that time can you help.

We were in Marmaris, last year, in the last week in September and the first of October, and the temperature was in the mid 80s. We had 1 thunderstorm, (which lasted about an hour)  and another time we had a couple of hours of drizzle. apart from that there was sunshine every day.

I think the weather at that time of year is more comfortable          than  the extreme heat you get in July and August.

the variation in temperatures given is probably because it is much cooler at night, also remember that this is the temperature in the shade.  I go regularly to this area and it is usually around 23 - 28C but cooler at night.  The fact that it is so warm during the day actually makes the night time temp feel a lot cooler and you will need a cardigan or light jacket.  There can be thunderstorms and heavy rain but this is usually towards end of October and they don't last long.  Have a great holiday.
