What is the website craigslist.com ?

wat is this website about? I hear it being said and used often, i don't get the point and wat do u do on it?

I think it's basically just free advertising for the public to sell various items. Kind of like a thrifty nickel but no expenses. That's my understanding of it anyways.

It is essentially a free online classified advertisement site.

You can purchase just about anything on there, including services such as handymen and sometimes there is even crazy illegal stuff listed. It is even used for dating by some people.

It can be helpful if you need to buy something but don't feel like going to eBay! :)

If you get on there for dating or personal stuff,  be careful as there are some creeps on there!

you can list stuff you are selling or if you are looking for something.  It's like a big bulletin board.  You can also look for job postings.  There's practically a craigslist for all major cities.  It's a big bulletin board for a lot of people to see.  You can post rentals or even find a rental.
