  1. Density of mild steel = 7.85 g/cm3

    So mass (weight) = 7.85 * 0.1 * 100 * 100

    = 7,850g

    or 7.85Kg

  2. Of the top of my head I would estimate about 65 grams.

Figure out the volume of the sheet, width x length x thickness, then multiple that times the mass of mild steel per cubic centimeter.

  3. In actual engineering practice we use 40.8 lbs per square foot of 1 inch thick uncoated (not galvanized) mild steel. That is equivalent to something like 7.8373 kg per square meter of 1 millimeter thick mild steel.

The above weight per square meter per mm is slightly less than what can be obtained from simply using the density of iron ( some references say 7850kg/m^3, some say 7870 kg/m^3) because mild steel has some carbon which makes the density slightly lighter. In fact High carbon steel such as STS have weights of only 40lbs/sq ft/in or 7.80655kg/m^2/mm.

  4. The density of steel is 7850kg/m3 so a 1m2 of 1mm sheet would weigh

    7850 x 0.001 = 7.85kg
