I have an '88 Bayliner 17' and would like to know the weight of the boat. If anyone has the same boat and now the weight for towing purposes. Thanks

  2. I had a bayliner 18.5' inboard Capri with the Volvo Penta 4cyl 125horse motor.  This boat weighed in around 3,200lbs towing weight.   The tounge weight was around a 100lbs or less as I could pick it up and move it myself (with some effort).

    I suspect your boat is with in a couple of hundred pounds of what my boat was.   I pulled my boat with my 2000 F150 supercab that had the 4.0 V6 and a standard transmition.  I used the factory bumper for the trailer hook up.  I had no problems pulling my boat at highway speeds (or better) nor did I have problems getting it up boat ramps.   There were times when we used the boat to hold other things when we took it camping and loaded it down even more and still had no problems.
