  1. it cant be more than 100 pounds i think

  2. The weight limit is 50 lbs per bag with most  U.S. airlines.  You need to check with your airline company.  There are stricter rules now. You are allowed one 50 lb. bag  and if you need a second one it could cost you $80. Be sure to check with your airlines before leaving. for their luggage rules.

  3. I assume you mean air travel?

In general, most economy class tickets allow the passenger to check in one 20kg bag and carry on 7kg but this is very general and there is some leeway at the airport - e.g. a 22kg bag will probably get on, a 25kg bag or 2 bads totalling 20kg might get on depending on the day, the check-in clerk, etc.

Overweight items get charged by the kg and it can be expensive (depends on the distance being travelled but $5/kg is a typical starting price - I've been charged up to $25/kg!)

The one big exception are transatlantic flights where the allowance is generally 2 bags of 32kg apiece but be careful as some airlines/airports won't handle luggage of that weight for health & safety reasons.

All airlines have slightly different regulations, some allowing 25kg and some charging for even one bag (e.g. RyanAir).

There are some exceptions for things like wheelchairs, musical instruments, sporting equipment, etc

Other classes of ticket (e.g. business) usually get a higher allowance.

You need to check with your airline to be sure...
