  1. i would say a nice toffee colour thats orange-ish then u could call it toffee also that would probaly stand out so will white then u could call it snowey or...  but people keep saying paint it i wont do that if i were you they would probaly become ill if u did that

  2. we have a pony that is a mixture: she's strawberry roan with like a leopard print blanket effect.

i suggest an appaloosa: you get some lovely colours with those.

  3. Here is a freaky color for you. Black Silver Dapple.... .

Genetically a black but the silver dapple gene modifies that and you get this lovely Morgan colt.... http://www.sterlingmorganhorses.com/A-Le...

  4. I would say brindle, like Secret suggested. Its one of the rarest.

  5. um

    buckskin

    black

    palomino

  6. erm..

The Bright coulours would be odd.. (lime green lol)

    White would be nice.

  7. Brindle all the way! :) I think it's the rarest color for a horse; not many people have brindles.

If you want one that'll stand out, I think a brindle would be the way to, if you can find one :)

  8. Horses come in four colours:

    -Black

    -Brown

    -Tan (orangish)

    -White

They can also be a combination of these colours. People, quit telling her to paint her pony, that's animal cruelty as it can have harmful effects on the horse's coat and it could breathe in the fumes.

  9. Okay, first off, with the correct paints it is NOT cruelty.

Second off, that "MORO" color is either a bay or blue roan.

Third, horses cannot be 'tri-colored'. Horses that are tri-colored are bay or buckskin paints, but that is not what a tri-color really is.

And for the genetics person who said that horses are one of four colors, no. They are either Black [Extension Gene] or Chestnut [No Black Gene] or Bay [Agouti and Extension Gene]. All the rest of the colors such as Palomino, Buckskin, Smokey Creme, are modifiers.

  10. Purple

  11. i think this is a rather odd color of horses. but i like it.

its called 'brindle'. idk if its common enough in ponys tho.

  12. Well my horse is a red, red, deep red bay and i bred her to a palomino and her baby came out to be a TANGERINE PALOMINO.. that was a BEAUTIFUL baby. but it was such an odd color but it was beautiful

an my friends horse they have a CHAMPAIGN BUCKSKIN

its an odd but pretty colors

and these colors are nataral lol you aint gotta dye these horses

    =]

  13. I used to have a fleabitten grey/paint

  14. The horse Juliane asked a question about a few days ago.  It looked like a bay but had a huge black patch over most of the front shoulder with a distinct border between the black and sorrel color of the body.  That foal in the picture may well be the only horse in the world with that color pattern (probably not but it could be).

Perhaps the rarest recognized color is brindle.  They do not even know what causes it.

Other rare colors are blue dun, strawberry roan, and grulla.

K S horses can be tri colored.  A tri colored paint is what they call a horse with a bay color with white markings.  Thus the horse has black, sorrel, and white.

With horse prices like they are yes you can find a good horse in almost any color.  I do suggest you look at training, temperament, and conformation first and then factor in color only as an added benefit.  But I think anyone knows that much, so I will not harp on it.

  15. I once saw a dark grey horse with a white mane and tail it was spectacular and looked unreal. Also I've seen a pink one, but really it was a white one that lived in a red mud field!

  16. *weird voice* RAINBOW!!!!

  17. I love chocolate coloured horses or silver dapples!Dark brown, nearly black with white manes and tails!

  22. ah skewbald always stand out!!!

its not always abou the colour of the horse if you are good the u will stand out because of your talent even if you are on an old bay or chesnut commen aul yoke thats about 25 years old and has been in a riding school for years and is all scabby and... you get my drift!!

if u keep you r horse in good cond and groom him etc.. and u are half waay decent u wil stand out!!

  23. palominos and duns stand out i love em! ive got a palomino!

  24. well brindle is probably the weirdest color because it results from a condition called chimerism, where basically the horse has two complete sets of DNA.  So the color you see is caused by different genes.

It's pretty rare though so good luck finding one, or at least one for sale.

  25. Great links, Secret!  Brindle is cool.   A brindle pony would really stand out.  So would an albino, but I wouldn't want one - too many health problems associated with albinism.

  26. red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple

  27. You should get the elusive hairless horse.

  28. If you are in the US there are Brindle horses over there. Look on Google they are just AMAZING. Have a look. They take my breath away....

  29. I think a green horse would be well nice.

  30. YEAH! that's the best idea i've ever heard! get a pony based on it's color. i wouldnt ever choose a horse based on anything other then color.

forget training, forget skill level of rider/horse,forget conformation, forget all that stuff that doesnt matter, just go for color.

brindle coloring is the rarest of all colorings from my research. . .to answer your question. . . but i think it's silly/unsafe to get a horse based on it's color. if you want to stand out, then pratice and ride better then the others. color is a matter of opinion, on judge may love the liver chestnut color, while another may hate it.

  31. i think red roans are a little diffent color in my opininon
