  1. Beaver tail.

Apparently it was declared to be a "fish" in the early 1900's so that Catholics in Western Canada could eat it on Fridays.

    It isn't up to much!

  2. Squid on a stick at a japanese county fair.  It was 6" long and 3" wide and dipped in BBQ sauce.  Kind of chewy, but good.

  3. I recommend alligator, it is delicious fried...

  4. Love gator bites (Alegator tail), pig belly ( a stuffed pig stomach with cabbage, onion, sausage meat and potato, tripe (in  Phila. pepper pot soup), squid (calamari, fried), snails (escargot) and conch fritters.

  5. think Italians doesn't have so called exotic foof but they do.a good pal of mine let me into their very exotic food called the maggots'cheese and their goverment prohibited the sale of this cheese but if you have connections you might be able to access it.the taste is quirky imagine eating molds and live maggots.the name speaks for itself.

  6. moose sausage was the worst!

sushi rocks...tuna, and salmon rolls are my favorite

  7. Escargot. I didn't think too much of it, because it has a chewy texture (like a clam strip).

Sushi - delicious - I call them "Japanese potato chips" - you can't stop eating them! I stick with vegetable or crabmeat sushi, though.

Caribou - delicious!!! I had it in a restaurant in Canada. I'm having a hard time finding a company that sells the meat, though.

Ostrich - tasty and tender, just like a high-quality steak.

Alligator - yes, it tastes like chicken :)

I did have cow tongue without knowing it, thanks to some "friends." It was pretty good, like ham, but once I found out, I couldn't eat any more. It's like French kissing a cow!

Didn't like calamari; it just tastes like a piece of a tire. :P For things like escargot and calamari, it seems like what it's cooked with is what tastes good (butter, garlic, etc.), not the base food itself. So what's the point of eating it?

  8. Hm mm... I haven't had a lot of exotic foods but here are some that I've tried before:

Calamari - It's the name for cooked squid (usually in rings). It's delicious when prepared properly with lots of seasonings. It has a very chewy texture and really reminds me of shrimp.

Bear - Yes, there's bear meat out there! And it is delicious! I've tried bear meatballs in gravy and it was fantastic! It tastes just like lean meat but it's more soft and tender.

Sushi - Sushi is delicious! I like the california rolls the best though. Although, I've never had sushi with raw fish.

Well that's pretty much it. I highly recommend for you to try bear meat!

  9. As a child I tasted cow's tongue, chitterlings, and hog mogs at my great aunt's house.

Cow's tongue tasted like corn beef to me.

    I love Sushi

  10. gator,frogs legs,escargo,giraffe pie

  11. i ate a cow tongue. very popular in Latin America and surprisingly good. and it's perfectly safe to eat when cleaned and cooked thoroughly.

  12. I live in Louisiana so the weirdest thing was Alligator....It was good and it really does taste like chicken...Unless you all consider crawfish to be weird....

  13. Alligator tail....tastes like stringy chicken!

  14. i've eaten sheeps t******l it was nasty i didnt know what it was it looks like kidnies i've had liver that was good

  15. the strangest food I've ever eaten is fried frog legs. They're really good. I had them at a Japanese restaurant. The only reason I ate them was because my brother dared me to but they turned out to be great.

  16. Fried grasshoppers in Oaxaca, Mexico. Crisp and tasty, actually. You can get little ones or big ones. The bigger they are the more adventurous you feel.

  17. cheddar cheese and peanut butter (PEANUT BUTTER, not effing Skippy).

I swear, it's amazing.  Like I said, though, it's gotta be JUST PEANUTS in the peanut butter ingredients, and MAYBE salt...

cheddar cheese + peanut butter<3  Try it.

  18. i ate gator while living in new orleans about five years ago.  i know its cliche, but it tastes like chicken!

  19. Sushi I like. I love sushi. Sushi is the best food in the World!!!

I ate weird Southern food. They were tree barks but It tasted bad.

  20. Black pudding in Scotland...;-()..........

  21. Tripe soup.. Done Balkan style... With cow's stomach, cut in shreads, boiled and spiced with garlic and vinegar.

Also a regional version of the haggis that is the lower intestine of a pork, washed, left to simmer in a disinfecting solution of potasium permanganate and in vinegar and then filled with a mixture of minced meat and onion, rice and spices - black pepper, hot pepper powder and boiled in salted water, with laurel leafs, hot pepper powder and black pepper grains. When fully cooked, chill and serve cold. Goes great with hot Dijon mustard and fresh country bread. They also serve it hot, with the sauce it has been boiled into and some odd local pastries, resembling bagels but very hard and dried.

And yes! Beef tongue with olives! Mmmmm! A real treat!

Oh! One more thing... Sushi's not edible in my opinion! Although generally, Asian cuisine is quite to my taste!

  22. I have a man in my life and he is weird enough. But I have eaten alligator and when camping we ate pine needles & ants.

  23. sushi, and it was very good.

starfish, it was surprisingly good...not something I'd eat weekly.
