  1. The welding temperature is the melting point, which for pure aluminum is about 660°C or 1220°F which is below the maximum flame temperature of propane, however it is very unlikely you would be able to weld aluminum with a propane flame, the heat is conducted away too fast.

    There are brazing rods available for aluminum that can be used with a propane torch. They are often sold as "Aluminum welding rod" however, they do not provide a true fusion weld, and they tend to be rather brittle, but they can be useful for some non-critical patching
