Im a lorry driver and i do nights and every night for the past 3 nights ive noticed a bright white light in the sky as i head down the M5 to come home. Its in exactly the same place every night and im pretty certain it isnt a star because i can still see it when the sun starts to come up. Im begining to think its a space station or something along those lines, if anyone can help me on this that would be great as im really interested to know what it is. thanks

  1. the moon....it could be a star. you probably wouldnt see a space station. maybe a geosynchronous satellite, which is a satellite that moves at the same rate as earth. so technically it is always above the same spot.

  2. the MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON

  3. This week three planets are alligned very close together, Venus,Mercury, and Saturn, which is a somehat rare occurance. In fact tonight (6/26) they may appear as one bright light for a small window of opportunity. Satelites and space station wouldn't be this bright.

  4. the moon, maybe stars? How bright is it?

  5. on the M5 your probably heading East so it is more than likely to be the planet Venus

I get up at 5-00am and I can see Venus at about 5 degrees above the horizon

  6. mabey a meteor or a new planet or a far away moon

  7. Could it be a bright comet? Those can be seen in the daytime sometimes. Why not check out NASA's website and see what is happening in the skies these days?

  8. Angel.

  9. Are you travelling west when you see this? If the light is in the west as you are travelling home at night it is probably the planet Venus. If you are travelling east, and it's visible at sunrise, then it might still be Venus. I confess that I don't know whether Venus is the morning or evening star at the moment.

  10. If it's in the western horizon at sunrise, that's Jupiter. It's the brightest star this time of year.

  11. Almost certainly what you're seeing is the planet Jupiter. It rises in the southeast around 11 pm and is visible in the south until dawn. It's currently the brightest thing in the sky other than the Sun and Moon.

Dozens of wild, crazy and WRONG guesses! Please, PLEASE, people, don't answer unless you KNOW your answer is correct!

  12. The aurora??

  13. space stations don't typically stay in one spot.

possibly a sat, but doubtful, they really can't be seen when the sun is out.

  14. THE MOON MAYBE?

  15. Satelite,,internatonal space station, a planet, landing lights of a plane

  16. lmao. i love these answers. xD

  17. aliens

  18. it could be a planet

  19. maybe you need some ******* glasses cuz it's probably da Moon

  20. alien space ship!!!!

    you better run

  21. woah! its the moon.

  22. Do you happen to smoke crack on your way home?

  23. I do not know which way you're facing, but it sounds like a planet.  If it is, it will move over time, i.e. a couple of days/weeks.  A space station would definitly be moving very quickly.  If is in the same place for more than a month, it is most likely a star.  Check an astronomy site.

  24. it's probably a satellite. go to the nasa website and see if they have any info on it..
