  2. It is made from 100 percent cotton, braided with brass wire around it. There are wicks for Aladdin Oil Lamps, for Gas Lamps,for Candle making,for Tiki Torches, for Coleman Lanterns and wicks that water your plants for you. I have made wicks for my Zippo before using a cotton shoestring and then wrapped brass wire around it. Actually,it is still in there and going strong,but you can buy wicks from Zippo.com Byee
