  1. I think they chambered the .45 Win Mag in the Grizzly Mk.I 1911-style pistol, along with the .45 ACP and .357 Mag. If you are unsure of the caliber of a gun and cannot legibly read it on teh side then ask a qualified, trusted gunsmith. Never heard of a .45 Winchester, I don't even think it exist. I'm pretty sure you have a .45 Win Mag.

  2. "Winchester" is simply the ammunition maker.  The caliber is .45 Auto (or .45 acp, same thing).  1911 Colts are caliber specific when it comes to their .45 chambering (.45 acp everytime), but Glocks are available chambered for either the old .45 acp or the newer .45 GAP.  The rounds will not interchange.

Colt in their 1911 Model have traditionally used the .45 Auto (or .45 acp) rounds.  However full-size Colt 1911s have also been chambered for:  .38 Super, 9mm & 10mm calibers.

  3. Thanks DC i have answered this on 3 separate questions, keep getting battered and now finally someone knows about the .45 win mag on here, its easy to confuse it with the .45 acp due to the .45 win is just a stretched .45 ACP. Thats why i told wayne to make sure he isnt trying to shoot the .45 win in his 1911.

  4. .45 Auto usually refers to .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol).  And should only be used for firearms chambered for this cartridge.  A few years back Glock came out with .45 GAP (Glock Auto Pistol) cartridge.  Winchester makes both .45 ACP & .45 GAP ammunition.  Make sure your cartridges macth your firearm.

  5. .45 acp's should be used for guns they are chambered for. it can be for any brand but as long as its chambered for .45 acp

  6. Nearly all Colts are .45 ACP. Some Glocks are, also. Glock has their own proprietary round .45 GAP(Glock Auto Pistol). It is a shortened version of the .45 ACP made to funcion in a shorter action and develop the same power.

    Remember .40 S & W?

  7. The bullets you are referring to are .45ACP and should only be fired through a pistol chambered for the .45ACP rounds.  So you can use them in any model of pistol that is .45ACP.  If you choose to fire them through a GLOCK make 100% sure that its the ACP model, and not the GAP model .45 or it will cause problems.

  8. There are Glocks and Colts that shoot the 45 ACP.

There are several bullet weights and profiles depending what you want to accomplish.
