What is the windiest month in Michigan?

I'm a windsurfer and I have never been able to tell, If it's in the winter, what non-winter month is the windiest?

  1. Pablo,  Every month in Michigan is windy that's why they are planning so many wind farms.

    It's very difficult without knowing where you want to windsurf. Michigan is over 600 mile in length. Will this be on the Great Lakes? Some of the larger inland lakes?

    On the results page, I selected custom and entered dates from April 24 to September 24 2007.

    Not all areas had complete information and there may be some windier areas along the lakes, where information does not show up correctly. From my experience, on the Great Lakes, wind speeds pick up after around 10;00 am and decrease after around 7:00 due to the difference in temperature between land and water.
