I know of a word I came across some time ago, a non-English word meaning something similar to:

"The situation where two people want the same thing but neither one knows the other wants it, so they are both left waiting"

obviously if I don't have the definition right, I'm going to have a hard time finding the word, and I would really like to know. Thanks.

  1. Is it the word "impasse"? It describes a situation where two sides cannot come to a decision about something, so they are at an "impasse".
