  1. Queen Mary II is the largest ocean liner in the world at 148,528 tonnes and 345 metres long (1132 feet).

Adventure of the seas is 138,000 tonnes and 311 metres long (1020 feet).

The Enterprise Class is the largest Aircraft carrier at 93,000 tonnes and 342 metres long (1123 feet).

Freedom of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world at 154,407 tonnes and 339 metres (1112 feet). Shorter than QMII but 5879 more tonnage.

The Freedom of the Seas is the largest cruise ship, however, the QMII is the largest ocean liner.

    See; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean_liner

    and

for descriptions of Ocean Liner and Cruise Ship.

  2. The world's biggest cruise ship, the "Freedom of the Seas", has drawn a crowd of thousands in Hamburg ahead of its maiden transatlantic voyage.

  3. The Royal Caribbean Voyager is the biggest cruise ship ever made.

  4. It's the Freedom of the Sea, owned by Royal Caribbean at 1,112 feet long. The USS Ronald Reagan is the largest aircraft carrier at 1083 feet.

  5. The Freedon of the Seas is the largest cruise ship and the Queen Mary 2 is the worlds largest cruise liner.

There is a difference in the way they are shaped . Liners cut through the waves where as cruise ships dont. The Titantic was a cruie liner.

  6. Currently, Freedom of the Seas is the largest cruise ship. Queen Mary 2 was the largest until Freedom came along in 2006. Liberty of the Seas will be the same size and is coming in May of this year.

Also, Royal Caribbean is working on "Project Genesis" this ship will be even larger than Freedom of the seas, a considerable difference considering the current size of the largest ships.

I'm not really sure of how the ships compare in size to an aircraft carrier, at least not off the top of my head.

  7. Freedom of the seas beats them all, the Liberty of the seas is being launched next month and then next year there will be a third ship launched that will be based in Southampton.

At 160,000 GRT and holding 3,634 guests double-occupancy, Freedom of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship in the world when she debuts in May 2006.

Have been on board her and she is a real floating city, wonderful!!!
