  2. Danish cheese, Stilton and German "Harzre" they smell horrible. The Danish cheese tastes nice though.

  11. A ripe Camembert. I bought some on a journey through France. and I put it on the parcel shelf in the car in full sunlight. After a couple of hours, sitting in the back of the car, I said to my husband, 'You've got to find a place to pull over, the baby's filled her nappy.' The smell was overpowering. When he eventually found a place to stop, I discovered that her nappy wasn't even wet! The cheese was relegated to the boot. By the way, It turned out to be excellent.

    Limburger comes a close second - but I'm not sure that's how you smell it. Sorry, that should be 'spell it'.

  12. Dunno, but it's got to be French.  I was having dinner with a friend at a French restaurant here in London a few days ago.  Half way through our main course, a steak animal, one of the waiters trundled past our table with the "cheese trolly".  The entire stink of France - yeuck.

  13. Vieux-Boulogne is famed for its strong smell, and in November 2004 was found by researchers at Cranfield University to be the "smelliest" of 15 French and British cheeses that they tested.

  14. lol probably limburger cheese...that's the only really stinky cheese i know of...lol

    At Camp I put some of that in the guys air vents and when their heaters went on...GROSSS!
