I think it was either Geoff Jenkins in 02 when he dislocated his ankle trying to get back to 3rd base.

Or when Mike Cameron and Carlos Beltran collided. Both of those guys were running at full speed and they both are pretty fast. That was horrible.

  1. Tie, same injury though. Moises Alou and Robin Ventura breaking and dislocating their ankles. Nasty.

  2. yeah that was pretty harsh

that was one of the most scarcest moment ever

  3. Moises Alou or Jason Kendall -- ankle / lower leg dislocation or fracture.

Kendall's probably the more gruesome, as his foot was dangling from his leg... yecch.

  4. Not as bad as gettnig hit in the eye, but Hideki Matsui's wrist breaking was nasty.

  5. When Moises Alou broke his ankle in St. Louis that was grusome

  6. i agree with the cameron and beltran collision and

chris young getting hit in the forehead by a line drive off the bat of albert pujols...that was the worst i seen live....

  7. Back a couple of years ago when aaron rowand ran into the fence when he was on the Phillies.  That was a pretty nasty one.  THey showed the blood all over his face pretty gnarly

  8. Yea i seen the Cameron and Beltran collision and that was pretty sick.

  9. Moises Alou's leg snapping was pretty nasty. Dickie Thon taking a fastball to the cheek was as well. But the worst has to be Dave Dravecky's arm snapping after throwing a pitch. He ended up losing his arm.

  10. Don Slaught (former Ranger catcher) getting hit in the eye by a pitch at Fenway Park---still see that in my memory like it was yesterday.

  11. They're are many bad ones, and I haven't seen them all, but the worst I have seen is earlier this season when Albert Pujols hit the ball hard right to the Padres pitcher's nose. Oh he looked terrible. And then in that same inning Pujols slid home into the catcher's ankle and turned that. That wasn't a pretty inning.

  12. Dravecky, Tom Browning and John Smiley are three guys I know that happened to, and there is a fourth who was in the Rays organization. In terms of just baseball injuries, Robin Ventura dislocating his ankle and having it point the other direction was nasty. I was also at a minor-league game last year when a pitcher took a line drive off of his forehead and fractured his skull. The ball hit his head so hard it ricochet into the stands. That was really scary to watch as he didn't ge up for quite some time. He did come back and pitch pretty well this season, though.

  13. Well, I've seen some nasty collisions, however the nastiest collision I ever saw was at a high school game. We were there to see my friends cousin and he was playing centerfield and a fly ball went to left center. well they got entangled and in the mist of all this...you could see him laying on his back with his leg partially sticking up in the air. The left fielder had landed on his leg breaking it. Gross.
