Dale Sr's crash was such a simple crash, Not trying to take away from the tragedy, but it was not a violent crash.  I can remember a crash that involved Ricky Craven, not sure where, possibly Talladega, where he went over the outer barrier and landed in the parking lot. And the Harmon crash was fricking unbelievable! For someone to walk away from that was a MIRACLE!  The Jerry Nadeau crash was pretty significant ( the one that ended his career) and I know of a crash where a man in killed by a racecar during a caution lap, it was a looonnngg time ago. He was trapped under a car after a car careened off of the track and hit the disabled car trapping the man. That had to be the most horrible crash I have seen.

wasn,t  actually nascar, but it was partnered with the fall race at charlotte in the all pro series. a driver whose name i can't remember his name flipped and hit the fence. after the wreck his helmet was laying on the track,and they said his head was in it. im not sure it was, but i do know he was decapitated.

davey allisons wreck at pocono. DW wrecked him. i forget the year, but it was unbelievable. it made mcdowells qualifying crash in texas look like a fender bender

The worst definitely has to be Dale Earnhardt's fatal crash.

And I think the worst looking is certainly Michael McDowell's at Texas.

Dont remember what year it was i was really young but at talladega during an arca race i think it was jimmy horton who went over the wall in turn 1 and landed on the road for the campground and a year later after they put the fences up around the turns ricky cravens wreck was really bad. Worst was probably the waltrip busch race wreck at bristol mentioned about the car is in the Hall of fame at talladega along with cravens car.

I hated Dale Jr.'s crash at California. Totally not his fault. The worst one was Michael McDowell's qualifying crash at Texas.

This is horrible. A tire changer gets killed. Look close and you can see blood splatter. It's aweful.

Ryan's wreck in Daytona in 2003 was right in front of me and it looked bad but not THAT bad. Geoff Bodine's truck in Daytona, Michael Waltrip at Bristol, Stewie in Daytona 2001, Elliott Sadler's wild ride at Talladega. Those are the ones that are still in my memory. Dale's last in my opinion STILL doesn't look as bad as it turned out to be..

Without a doubt the Mike Harmon Busch wreck and the Geoff Bodine CTS wreck would be the worst looking. I do remember the Eric Martin wreck as well, and that would have to be the worst overall. It actually happened during practice. The horrible thing about it was that you could see him moving around in the car, probably unbuckling to get out. I'm sure he never expected anyone to hit him that late. I do feel bad for Debbie Renshaw, too. She was very good, but never raced after that.

I've never seen anything like Mike Harmon during Busch practice at Bristol.

search Mike Harmon crash on Youtube if you would like to see.  The motor actually left the car and was still running as it went flying down the track.  He was the luckiest man I have ever seen in a crash.
