  1. 2 things come to mind for me. Last night actually my son fell with a toy in his mouth and he was so upset blood squirted out of his nose and he gave me a glazed over look so I called 911 (I overreacted but it was scary just a simple trip and blood came from his nose?!) They said he was ok he just got so upset it forced blood from his mouth out of his nose. he's back to normal today.

Another time was when I was attacked in my garage by a male while I was holding him thank God my mom took the baby and ran and I defended myself (My husband is a US Army hand to hand combatives instructor so I handled myself well) It scared my son but he seems great now.

I've hit his head on the doorframe too. It happens when they lean back out of no where.

Wow Im mom of the year huh?! lol

mumma~cassie- I laughed so hard about your microwave story, not at your child but at the fact that I've stood there and waited for 10 mins wondering why its not done yet. Its easy to forget to turn it on!

  2. I was in the bathroom and our daughter was 4 months old at the time and just learning to sit up, sometimes she'd lean forward too far. Well my husband sat her on the couch and turned around to pick up something off the floor and she flipped forward and fell off the couch. I think she was more startled than hurt, but I was sure freaking out! I think I got more upset than she did lol.

  3. Ugh, this happened just the other day...

It was in the morning and I was changing him and turned around to grab an outfit from his closet when all of a sudden I heard him screaming. He had pushed himself(he'll be 4 months on August 4th) off the edge of the table and had fallen onto the floor! I was freaking out and repeatedly telling him I was sorry. After about two minutes he looked up at me and smiled. Big sigh of relief!! He did have a nice bruise on his head but nothing major, thankfully.

  4. My son was only about 14 months old and riding on a push along bike and we weer sitting out the front and I was reading a magazine and sat there for a second thinking 'he's going a little fast' put my head down looked back up and thought 'he's heading to the drive way but it's ok the gravel will stop him' no no the gravel stopped the bike and he flipped over the front of the bike and smacked his head on the concrete. He was fine hardly any tears and now he has a beautiful scare on his forehead so we grow his fringe a little longer so people don't think bad of us :)

My son quiet often climbs onto the lounge and plays around and then 9 times out of 10 he will fall off and smack himself onto the floor boards. It's like he's used to it now and it's a game because he doesn't cry but there is no way to stop him climbing on the lounge.

I also have given him his dinner after heating it in the microwave and he keeps spitting it out so I get mad at him go and feel his dinner it's stone cold. I because I put it in the micro and walk away and forget to turn it on.

It's taught me to always check the temp of his dinner now.

  5. My son's father was carrying him down the stairs, which were shiny new hardwood.  He slipped on some water that had been spilled.  He dropped our son who was almost 3 at the time. He fell about 7 feet til he hit the bottom of the stairs.  I heard the 'crack' and came running. When I got to him, he wasnt conscious and he was bleeding from his nose.

We rushed him to the hospital and he lost consciousness several times along the way.  They took us right in and gave him EEG, and brain wave tests.  We found he had a fractured skull on his right temporal area.  He also had bleeding in his ear.

After some recovery time, he walked steadily again, and wore a helmet around all the time.  He's 14 now, and of course his fracture healed completely.  But he has what has been said is one of the worst cases of ADD that has ever been seen by his school administrators. You have to wonder if the head injury and the severe ADD are connected.

  6. we have a water cooler that also dispenses hot water my little sister just turned 2 and likes grabbing everything he turned on the hot water and burned her had it was not a bad burn but now she knows that water is "ouchy!" the water cooler stays unplugged now

  7. I had my first when I was 16 and lets just say i had a very dirty mouth for a 16 year old. But when she was about 1.5 she knocked a flower pot over on the new white carpet. With out even thinking I spit out about every cuss word I could think of. She started crying and wouldn't get near her for about an hour. It broke my heart. that little experience also helped eliminate many words from my vocabulary.

  8. I locked our 1 year old in the car around a month ago at a Wal Mart parking lot. It was hot out. I was driving my wifes PTcruiser which i rarely drive and am not used to. I strapped her in the backseat, somehow i laid the keys down beside of her while doing it. I close the door walk around to the other side and the door is locked. All the doors are locked. Shes just sitting in there waving at me laughing away.

It was so HOT out. I could not wait for the cops or a tow truck to come along. Someone parked near me so i borrowed a lug wrench from them and knocked one of the front windows out. Surprisingly the insurance covered that and paid to fix it. They considered it a emergency or something.

I was worried about her getting glass in her eye or getting cut but then again i was more worried about her waiting in a very hot car so i took the chance.

  9. she got epilepsy from brain damage all thanks to a nurse that went into work with a cold when she was a baby and she parsley sited in her eyes

  10. He spent the first two years of his sweet life at the cancer and blood disorder center.

but he is perfect now and I do adore my wonderful 6 year old boy!

  11. When my daughter was 3 we were at a family party and one my aunts brought a dog.  The dog was supposed to stay outside but for some reason she let the dog in and everyone was so busy they didnt see until it was late attack my daughter and biting her in the face.  Luckily for all of us my brother caught the dog on the first bite and the bites are minimal now.

  12. My son had to urgently use the bathroom.  He ran in there and slipped on the floor.  Busted his chin wide open.  I had to take him straight to the emergency room.  He was terrified of course.  He kept saying, "I'm OK Momma.  I don't want to see the doctor!"  (He's 3.)  I opted not to get stitches (he would have needed about 6) and just go the dermabond stuff instead.  It took two nurses to hold him down.  He screamed and cried like I had never heard in my entire life.  It completely broke my heart.  He has a scar on his chin and I'd swear I have a scar on my heart.  lol

  13. Where do I start....................

Miss 6 use to sleep with me in my bed until she was 3 & she fell out of it twice & it's a fairly high bed alot higher than normal as we bought an extra deep matress.

Miss 2 also use to sleep with me & fell out also. But the worst thing that happened was when hubby & I had her in the jolly jumper & tried raising her up as she was too low & i connected the wrong chain & he let go & she hit the floor with a whack! Luckily she was only about 40 cm's from the floor when he let go.

Miss 9 months got walked into the wall just 2 nights ago, I was sleep deprived & got out of bed to get her for a feed & hit the wall with her in my arms. She has also fallen out of her sisters bed.

  14. My 4 year old and i were going to bake chocolate chip cookies, so i sat her on the counter and i went to get the eggs ( the counter is right smack next to the refridgerator ) anyway.. she wanted to big mommy's big helper and hold the eggs. With out waiting for me to pick her up and put her down ( the counter is too high for her to get down herself ) she jumped and hit her tooth on the refridgertator. She knocked a baby tooth out, it was gonna come out anyway, but she sure did scream when it happened :l

  15. Back in May, I was holding my youngest, then 8ms, in my arms while talking on the phone to an exterminator. I had come downstairs that morning to find ants ALL OVER my kitchen sink!  I still get chills thinking about it...

The exterminator who I was on the phone was the 4th one that morning and the only one who said he could come out that afternoon. I was trying to write down his information, when my 6yr son came into the kitchen and asked for a cup. I handed him a pink one, the first one I saw, and he began to whine, saying he didn't want pink. I told him I was on the phone and to wait, but instead he decided not to listen and began to touch the baby's feet. My youngest HATES when people touch his feet and started to whimper. I tried to ignore this and my 6yr's whine, (which would normally lead to a consequence but ants had taken over my kitchen!) but I wasn't able to hear what the guy on the phone was saying. Finally I told the man that I would have to call back, opened the cabinet, grabbed a blue cup, slammed it shut, handed it to my son and began to yell...and I am not a yeller.  I was so upset over the kitchen and screaming so loud that I didn't even hear the baby screaming and crying because I hit him in the head with the cabinet door when I slammed it closed! My 6yr began to cry because of the whole situation and within seconds, my stress level exploded and I began to cry! I hit the baby with the door, SCREAMED at my kid, ants everywhere! My 18yr came downstairs to see the 3 of us crying and started at me. "The ants...and Christopher...and slammed the door on Logan's head..." was all I could get out in between my sobs. It was a loonnnggg day and I felt SO bad.
